Wage War Announces New Album Landfall, Set for Digital Release Oct. 9
Florida’s metalcore outfit Wage War has confirmed that their next studio album, Landfall, will be available digitally on October 9 through Fearless Records. The announcement arrived alongside the title track, which is already streaming on major platforms and accompanied by a striking visualiser.
The band’s 2026 output has already included the It Calls Me By Name EP (released April 17) and the single “Sweet Dreams” (released August 13). Landfall stitches those releases together, delivering a full‑length statement after a year of scattered material and an international touring schedule.
The 13‑track album features the previously issued “Sweet Dreams,” “Song Of The Swamp,” and the title track. The opener begins with an emergency‑broadcast‑style alarm before launching into a heavy riff—a sonic motif the band says mirrors Florida’s hurricane‑prone climate and the theme of being at the mercy of forces beyond human control. Lead vocalist Briton Bond’s harsh screams are paired with clean vocals from rhythm guitarist Cody Quistad, a combination that has defined Wage War’s sound since their debut.
Landfall follows a five‑date headline run in Australia that began in Perth on July 30 and finished at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on August 7. The tour, supported by Orthodox and Heavensgate, was part of the It Calls Me By Name world tour and added to a touring history that has seen the band share stages with Slipknot, A Day To Remember, Papa Roach and Parkway Drive.
Wage War formed in Ocala, Florida in 2010 under the name Empires before adopting their current moniker. They signed to Fearless Records in 2015, the same year they released their debut album Blueprints. Subsequent releases include Deadweight (2017), Pressure (2019), Manic (2021) and Stigma (2024). The 2024 single “Magnetic” reached number one on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, marking the band’s first chart‑topper.
The current lineup is Briton Bond (lead vocals), Cody Quistad (rhythm guitar, clean vocals), Seth Blake (lead guitar), Chris Gaylord (bass) and Stephen Kluesener (drums). The band’s recent work has continued to blend aggressive breakdowns with melodic choruses, a formula that has kept them relevant in the metalcore scene.
Fearless Records, based in Culver City, California, distributes the album worldwide through Universal Music Group, following the label’s acquisition by Concord Music Group in 2015.
Landfall will be available for streaming and download on October 9, with physical formats expected to follow later in the year. The title track’s release offers the first glimpse of the album’s thematic focus on imminent danger and the limits of human control.
The announcement confirms that Wage War has moved beyond a series of standalone releases in 2026, positioning Landfall as the centerpiece of their current creative cycle.
The band’s next steps will likely involve a promotional tour and media appearances to support the album’s launch, though specific dates have not yet been announced.
