Tove Lo Announces 2027 Australian Tour to Promote New Album ESTRUS
Swedish pop star Tove Lo will headline four shows across Australia in March 2027 as part of the global ESTRUS tour. The concerts are scheduled for March 1 in Brisbane, March 3 in Melbourne, March 5 in Sydney and March 7 in Perth. The tour follows the worldwide release of Lo’s sixth studio album, ESTRUS, on September 18, 2026.
The Australian leg is a continuation of the ESTRUS tour that began in Nashville on September 15, 2026, before moving through North America, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Europe. Lo will perform songs from the new album alongside tracks from her earlier catalog, which has earned her a reputation for candid lyricism and a distinctive pop‑dance sound. She said she was looking forward to returning to Australia, describing the forthcoming concerts as “more emotional and physically intense” than previous visits.
All four shows will feature Australian singer‑producer SALTY as the opening act. SALTY released her debut EP, the other side, and singles such as “See U In 3”, “Touch Grass” and “The Eye”. Her songwriting focuses on turning personal experiences into concise pop songs, positioning her as an emerging voice in the Australian scene.
Album background
ESTRUS takes its title from the biological term for a female mammal’s period of sexual receptivity. The record continues Lo’s long‑standing exploration of intimacy, sexuality, vulnerability and the raw aspects of emotional life, while drawing more explicitly on the Swedish indie‑dance music that shaped her early career. The album was produced with longtime collaborator Ludvig Söderberg, and also involved Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser. A collaboration with Belgian artist Stromae appears on the record.
Recording sessions took place in Los Angeles, Stockholm and a small fishing village in Sweden where Lo spent childhood summers and worked on her previous album, Dirt Femme. The return to that location brought memories of childhood, depression, an eating disorder, relationships, family conflict and loss into the writing process.
The ESTRUS tour setlist is expected to include the released tracks “I’m Your Girl Right?”, “des fleurs” and “DNH”. “I’m Your Girl Right?” was issued as the album’s lead single in May 2026.

General ticket sales open Tuesday, September 15 at 10 a.m. local time. Artist presale runs from Friday, September 11 at 9 a.m. until Monday, September 14 at 9 a.m. Secret Sounds presale and Live Nation presale both commence Monday, September 14 at 9 a.m. and end Tuesday, September 15 at 9 a.m.

Career context
Lo first gained international attention with her 2014 debut album Queen of the Clouds, which included the sleeper hit “Habits (Stay High)” that peaked at number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Subsequent releases – Lady Wood (2016), Blue Lips (2017) and Sunshine Kitty (2019) – expanded her electronic‑pop sound. Sunshine Kitty produced “Glad He’s Gone”, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Music Video.
In 2022, Lo released Dirt Femme on her independent label Pretty Swede Records, further developing themes of femininity, independence and identity while maintaining club‑oriented production. ESTRUS represents the next chapter in that catalogue.
Lo’s songwriting career has also flourished. She has co‑written material for artists such as Lorde (“Homemade Dynamite”) and Ellie Goulding (“Love Me Like You Do”), and has collaborated with Flume, Charli XCX, Coldplay, Nick Jonas, Kylie Minogue and Alesso.

The Australian dates are confirmed and tickets will go on sale on September 15. Fans can secure presale access through the artist, Secret Sounds and Live Nation channels. The tour will provide a platform for Lo to showcase the new album’s themes and to connect with audiences in four major Australian cities.
