Melody Place Adds Industry Veterans Bob Reeves and Liz Kiley to Leadership Team

When Nashville’s indie powerhouse Melody Place announced on September 9, 2026 that it would welcome two seasoned professionals to its executive ranks, the move was immediately recognized as a strategic push toward greater visibility in both traditional and digital arenas.

The label has named Bob Reeves as Head of Promotion & Commercial Partnerships and Liz Kiley as Head of Marketing. Reeves, who has spent more than a quarter‑century steering radio promotion for country music, previously led teams at Warner Music Nashville, Reviver Entertainment Group, and Riser House Entertainment. Kiley brings a decade‑long background that spans marketing, programming and streaming, with stints at Universal Music Group, MTV Networks/Viacom, and The Box Network.

"These hires give us a treasure trove of context, leadership, and vision," President and General Manager Sanborn McGraw said in a statement. "They will help us put art and the artists first, while expanding our commercial reach across radio, streaming, and partnerships."

Reeves’ track record includes building robust relationships with country radio professionals and artists, a partnership that has translated into multiple Gold and Platinum records and chart‑topper placements. Kiley, meanwhile, has been recognized for her ability to fuse programming insight with storytelling, earning industry awards for work that bridges marketing, operations and artist narrative.

Melody Place, founded in 2018 by Chairman Leigh Shockey, has grown from a boutique operation into a multifaceted enterprise. Its roster now features country star Sara Evans, pop singer Pia Toscano, pop‑rock vocalist Katharine McPhee, Broadway‑starlet Jasmine Amy Rogers, country artist Braden Hull and classical crossover singer Jackie Evancho. The label’s theatrical arm produced the Broadway musical BOOP! with 16‑time Grammy winner David Foster, and released its Original Cast Recording.

In partnership with the Dan Seals Estate, Melody Place launched the 18‑track duet tribute album Dan Seals & Friends: The Last Duet. The release showcases the company’s capacity to manage legacy catalog projects while delivering contemporary material.

Beyond recordings, the label has stepped into live‑event territory. It hosted its inaugural Sunset Lounge at the Four Seasons Hotel Nashville during CMA Fest, and has announced further performances and promotional activities with local venues and streaming partners. The publishing division continues to sign new songwriters and collaborate with established artists, while the theatrical production division remains active in developing stage projects.

Melody Place’s business model blends record production, publishing and theatrical production. Its publishing arm administers copyrights for its roster and third‑party songwriters and works with major performance‑rights organizations to manage licensing for film, television and streaming. The theatrical arm seeks projects that can cross‑sell music and live‑performance revenue streams.

With Reeves’ radio promotion expertise, the label expects to secure stronger airplay for its country‑focused artists. Kiley’s streaming and marketing background will underpin digital campaigns for releases and tours. Together, they will shape promotional strategies that align with the label’s emphasis on authentic artist storytelling.

The appointments arrive after a period of rapid growth. Melody Place expanded its roster and released several high‑profile projects in 2025 and 2026, and the Dan Seals partnership demonstrated its ability to juggle legacy catalog projects alongside contemporary releases.

Industry observers note that the hires combine traditional promotion skills with modern digital marketing acumen, positioning the label to navigate the evolving landscape of radio, streaming and commercial partnerships while staying true to its artist‑centric approach.

No additional personnel changes or strategic initiatives have been announced beyond the appointments of Reeves and Kiley. The company will keep focusing on roster development and the expansion of its publishing and theatrical activities.
