Ed Sheeran Launches North American Loop Tour Leg at State Farm Stadium

When the sun dipped behind the Arizona desert on Saturday, June 13 2026, Ed Sheeran stepped onto the field at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, turning the 65,000‑seat venue into a pop‑music arena for the first U.S. stadium show of his Loop Tour. The 35‑year‑old singer‑songwriter opened with a set that blended tracks from his latest studio album Play—including the radio‑heavy “Azizam,” “Old Phone,” and “Sapphire”—with long‑running hits such as “Bad Habits” and “Castle on the Hill.”

The Loop Tour began in Auckland, New Zealand, on January 16 2026 and will wrap up in Mexico City on December 12 2026. Play, released September 12 2025 through Gingerbread Man Records and Atlantic Records, is the first of a planned series of releases named after media‑control symbols. The album debuted at number one in the United Kingdom and topped charts in several other countries, while its singles have already amassed extensive radio play and streaming.

Sheeran’s Arizona performance featured a full 28‑song set that ranged from early releases like “The A Team” to newer material such as “Camera” and “Bad Habits.” The concert also included a medley of fan favorites—“Thinking Out Loud,” “Perfect,” and “Shape of You”—providing a mix of nostalgia and fresh energy.

After a successful run in Australia, New Zealand, and South America, the artist turned his focus to North America. The leg will visit 20 stadiums across 12 cities, beginning with Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on June 20. Other stops include Milwaukee’s American Family Insurance Amphitheater (Summerfest) on June 25, Soldier Field in Chicago on June 27, and Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on July 4. Additional dates feature Las Vegas (Allegiant Stadium, July 18), San Diego (Petco Park, July 21), Santa Clara (Levi’s® Stadium, July 25), Seattle (Lumen Field, August 1), Los Angeles (SoFi Stadium, August 8), Minneapolis (U.S. Bank Stadium, August 15), Toronto (Rogers Centre, August 21–22), Detroit (Ford Field, August 29), East Rutherford (MetLife Stadium, September 4–5), Philadelphia (Lincoln Financial Field, September 19), Foxborough (Gillette Stadium, September 25–26), Atlanta (Mercedes‑Benz Stadium, October 3), Indianapolis (Lucas Oil Stadium, October 10), Charlotte (Bank of America Stadium, October 17), Arlington (AT&T Stadium, October 24), Hollywood (Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, October 29–30), and the final show on November 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Tickets for the sold‑out shows are still available on resale platforms such as Stubhub and Vivid Seats, but buyers are advised to verify authenticity. Official sales remain open on Ticketmaster, which also offers presale opportunities for fan club members and certain credit‑card holders.

The stadium format of the Loop Tour follows a broader trend that lets artists reach large audiences in a single night. State Farm Stadium, known for hosting Super Bowls and the Fiesta Bowl, has become a popular venue for high‑profile concerts, and Glendale’s location west of Phoenix places the show in a region with growing demand for live music.

Sheeran’s decision to open the North American leg in Arizona follows a global tour that began in New Zealand and included stops in Australia and South America. He has previously set attendance records in the United States on the +−=÷× Tour and the X Tour.

With the Play album, the expansive stadium schedule, and a track record of high‑attendance U.S. shows, Ed Sheeran remains one of the most active touring artists of 2026. Industry observers will be watching how the stadium concerts perform commercially and how his new material translates on stage.

As of now, the tour continues through November 7, with tickets still available for the remaining dates. The next major stop is Nashville on June 20, followed by a series of high‑profile stadium shows across North America.
