Suno Launches v6 AI Music Models with Warner, BMG, and Believe Partnerships

The rest of the song stayed unchanged, showing that a single section can be re‑arranged or a lyric can be swapped without disturbing the surrounding music. The system can also blend elements from multiple songs—such as combining vocals from one track with drums from another—while adding new lyrics or shifting the style. Suno’s “Simple” mode automatically infers whether the user wants a cover, remix, or extension, eliminating the need for manual tool selection.

Access to the models is tiered. The free tier, which all users receive, includes the lightweight v6‑mini, delivering faster results. Paid Pro and Premier subscribers unlock the full v6 model for polished, controlled output, and the experimental v6‑wild model for more unpredictable, exploratory music. Earlier Suno models have been retired; existing user libraries remain unchanged, but new creations with v6 will sound different from the originals.

Revenue sharing is embedded in the partnership. From launch day, Suno began distributing a portion of its subscription revenue to its music partners. Warner, BMG, and Believe decide how to allocate the money, giving artists and songwriters control over their share. The agreements also resolve prior litigation between Suno and Warner and cover the use of Warner’s recordings and publishing catalog. BMG’s deal includes both recordings and publishing rights, with compensation for participating artists and songwriters.

Distribution of new‑model tracks is now possible through Believe and its TuneCore service. Suno’s agreement with Believe makes any track generated with the v6 family eligible for release on streaming platforms via Believe or TuneCore. The platform’s watermarking and fingerprinting protections, which identify Suno‑generated music off‑platform, will apply to tracks distributed through these services. Suno’s commercial‑use policy grants paid subscribers permission to download, distribute, sell, or use songs in film or games, but it does not guarantee copyright protection.

Download limits vary by subscription. Pro users receive 20 song downloads per month, Premier users 60, and Premier Studio users have no cap. Free users who joined before September 3 2026 can download up to seven lifetime trial songs; newer free users may receive occasional trials. All downloads are for personal use unless additional purchases are made.
