Beatport Connect LA Returns to W Hollywood for One-Day Summit on September 25

Beatport, the world’s leading marketplace for DJs and electronic‑music professionals, is bringing its second‑year Beatport Connect to Los Angeles on September 25. The one‑day summit will unfold at the W Hollywood Hotel, a venue that has hosted countless high‑profile music events, and will bring together artists, DJs, labels, promoters, technologists and industry executives for panels, workshops and networking focused on the future of electronic music.

The event follows Beatport’s inaugural New York edition in July 2025 and expands the format to two dedicated rooms. One room will host discussions on cultural, technological and industry trends that are shaping electronic music, while the second will feature practical sessions on artist career development. Speakers will provide first‑hand advice on branding, business strategy, partnerships and long‑term growth.

"As the home of electronic music, Beatport has always been about connecting the people who move the culture forward," said Ed Hill, Chief Brand Officer at Beatport. "Beatport Connect brings artists, promoters, labels, technologists, and fans together to share ideas, build new relationships, and shape what’s next for the industry. We’re excited to return to Los Angeles on an even bigger scale this year," Hill added.

Key industry voices will appear on the program, including Adrienne Fitzpatrick of Warner Records, Bailey Greenwood of WME, Katie Bain of Billboard, Maddy Savage of Ninja Tune, Matt Gralen of Beatport, Maurice Slade of SoundCloud, and Nicholas Douglas of Notion. Artists Kitty Amor, MPH, salute, and Wuki will also speak, with additional speakers to be announced.

The schedule covers a range of topics. Sessions include "Electronic Music… What’s Next?", "Progress, Pause or Regression? The Current State of Diversity in Event & Festival Programming", "Breaking into Hollywood Through Sync", "Building an Artist Brand in 2026", and "The Artist Toolkit: Building a Sustainable Career." The event will also highlight opportunities in sync licensing, the evolving landscape of festivals and live events, and strategies for sustainable artist careers.

Beatport Connect LA will feature a community breakfast in partnership with Her Dancefloor, a program that champions and connects women in music. The day will conclude with an industry networking mixer, giving attendees a chance to unwind and forge new contacts.

Brands that will be on site include Musical Beings, Hisong, Beatport.io, Gigwell, and others that are innovating at the intersection of music and technology.

According to a LinkedIn post by Beatport, the summit will end with Beatport Live at 21:00, a showcase that will feature a lineup that has not yet been announced. The post also notes that 50 % of ticket revenue will benefit the MusiCares Foundation.

Tickets for Beatport Connect LA start at $50 and are available now. The event is scheduled for September 25 and will take place at the W Hollywood Hotel, a venue known for hosting high‑profile music and entertainment events.

Beatport, founded in 2004 and now owned by LiveStyle, has grown from a DJ‑focused online store into a platform that also offers original content, streaming services and industry events. The Connect series is part of Beatport’s effort to bring together the people who shape electronic music and to provide a forum for discussion, learning and networking.

For those in the electronic‑music community, Beatport Connect LA offers a concentrated opportunity to engage with industry leaders, explore emerging trends, and build relationships that can influence careers and the broader music landscape.

The event’s next steps include finalizing the full speaker lineup, confirming the Beatport Live lineup, and continuing to promote ticket sales through Beatport’s channels and partner venues.
