Mitchell Tenpenny Extends Speed of Light Tour Through Fall, Adds 20 New Dates

Mitchell Tenpenny is turning up the heat on his Speed of Light Tour, adding 20 fresh stops that will keep fans dancing through the fall and into early winter. The new leg opens on September 18 in Des Moines, Iowa, and wraps up on November 21 in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Presales for the added shows start Tuesday, July 14, with the general ticket sale opening Friday, July 17 at 10 a.m. local time.

The extended schedule takes Tenpenny to Ohio, Canada, Illinois and other states, with key dates at Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, SkyPAC in Bowling Green, the Country Calling Festival in Ocean City, and the final show at the Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach. The full list of the new dates is: - September 18 – Des Moines, IA – Val Air Ballroom - September 25 – Bowling Green, KY – SkyPAC - October 2 – Ocean City, MD – Country Calling Festival - November 6 – Orillia, ON – Casino Rama Resort - November 21 – Hampton Beach, NH – Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom

The Speed of Light Tour already began in February at Hard Rock Live in Rockford, Illinois, and featured 30 shows in its first 2026 run. Adding late‑season dates has become a proven strategy for country artists, allowing them to reach markets that were left out of the earlier leg.

Tenpenny’s latest studio effort, The 3rd, dropped on September 20 and has been hailed as his most authentic and adventurous album yet. The record showcases his growth as a songwriter and performer, and it has begun to chart on several country‑music platforms. The title track is available on all major streaming services.

Beyond his own releases, Tenpenny has earned a reputation as a touring mainstay. He has headlined his own tours and appeared as a special guest on tours with country stars such as Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Jordan Davis, and Chris Young. His radio successes include three No. 1 singles—“Drunk Me,” “Truth About You,” and “At The End Of A Bar”—and eight No. 1 positions on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown.

The artist has amassed more than 2.5 billion global on‑demand streams and holds multiple RIAA certifications, including quadruple‑platinum status for “Drunk Me” and platinum for “We Got History.”

The 10Penny Fund, founded in 2018 in memory of Tenpenny’s father who died of cancer, has raised over $500,000 to support cancer patients and their families. Last year the fund partnered with ACM Lifting Lives to provide emergency grants for medical, household, and mental‑health expenses to music‑industry professionals affected by cancer.

From an industry perspective, the tour extension reflects a broader trend of country artists extending tours to capture late‑season ticket sales and streaming momentum. The added dates also offer opportunities for local radio promotion and festival appearances, which can boost streaming numbers and reinforce the artist’s presence in key markets.

Tickets for the new fall dates are available through the standard presale and general‑sale windows. Fans can also purchase tickets via AXS and other authorized vendors. The tour will continue to promote The 3rd while maintaining the high‑energy performances that have become a hallmark of Tenpenny’s live shows.

In short, the Speed of Light Tour has expanded to include 20 new dates, with presales beginning July 14 and general sales on July 17. The tour will conclude on November 21, offering fans a full year of performances that showcase the artist’s latest work and ongoing commitment to charitable causes.
