Nothing Launches Club Nothing Fund to Back Global Nightlife Creators
London‑based consumer‑technology company Nothing, famed for its transparent smartphones and audio gear, has stepped into the nightlife scene with a new event series and a grant program. The initiative, called Club Nothing, fuses a global series of dance‑music events with the Club Nothing Fund, a $40,000 grant aimed at emerging club nights, independent event series and music festivals.
The fund will award four international creatives $10,000 each to launch or scale a club night, event series or festival. Winners will also receive exposure through the Club Nothing platform and Nothing’s worldwide community channels. The program is backed by high‑profile music‑industry shareholders, including Charli XCX, who serves as Nothing’s Global Brand Ambassador, The Weeknd, and Swedish House Mafia.
According to Erica Travis, Senior Community Manager at Nothing, “Club Nothing is about creating spaces where people can come together around a shared love for music, while giving emerging creatives the platform and support they need to bring their ambitions to life. Through the Club Nothing Fund, we’re investing in the people and communities that continue to inspire us.”
Applications open on July 1, 2026 and close on August 9, 2026. Proposals can be submitted through the official portal at nothing.tech/club‑nothing. Winners will be announced later in August. The selection panel includes DJ and producer Manuka Honey, multi‑hyphenate artist and Nothing communications head Shavone Charles, club‑night founder Erica Travis, music editor Solomon Pace‑McCarrick, A&R and publishing founder James Supreme, and industry professional Layla Mustafa Rock.
Club Nothing’s first event will take place in New York City on July 9, turning an “unexpected” Brooklyn venue into a one‑night‑only club experience that coincides with the launch of Nothing’s new Ear (3a) audio devices. The Ear (3a) is scheduled to debut on July 7, alongside the Phone (4b). After New York, the series will visit Tokyo on July 30 before embarking on a global tour.
Nothing was founded in 2020 by former OnePlus co‑founder Carl Pei and a team that includes Akis Evangelidis, David Sanmartín García, Steven Gao and Levi Li. The company has released a line of wireless earbuds (Ear 1–3) and smartphones (Phone 1–4), and its devices run a custom version of Android called Nothing OS. The brand has attracted venture capital from GV, EQT Ventures and Tiger Global, and individual investors such as Tony Fadell and Casey Neistat.
The Club Nothing Fund represents a rare corporate‑backed grant that aligns with Nothing’s broader cultural strategy. By supporting grassroots organizers who push the boundaries of music and self‑expression, the company is positioning itself as a catalyst for new nightlife experiences.
The initiative also underscores the growing intersection between consumer technology and live‑event production. With a global community of users and a reputation for design‑centric products, Nothing is leveraging its brand equity to create new revenue streams and cultural touchpoints.
As the application window closes on August 9, creators worldwide can submit their concepts for a chance to receive funding, visibility and access to a platform that spans multiple cities and audiences. The announcement of winners in August will mark the first step in a series of events that could reshape how club nights and festivals are conceived and financed.
For now, the Club Nothing Fund remains open to emerging international creatives, DJs, producers and nightlife organizers. Those who wish to apply should visit nothing.tech/club‑nothing before the August 9 deadline.
