Sicksense Unveils A Moment Of Violence Video Ahead of September EP Release and 2026 Tour
Sicksense has dropped a new music video for the single “A Moment Of Violence,” a track that sits at the heart of the band’s upcoming EP Funerals. The clip, now live on YouTube, was co‑directed by the group and Tony Aguilera—known for his work with Stitched Up Heart and Exodus—and serves as a visual prelude to the September 25, 2026 release and the band’s 2026 touring push.
The video delivers the aggressive riffing and angular imagery that fans expect from Sicksense’s blend of nu‑metal and metalcore. Its stark visuals mirror the song’s raw lyrical themes—death, loss, and a personal struggle with faith. In the accompanying statement, the band explains that the track tackles the paradox of suffering: “We discuss death and losing loved ones close to us. It’s a personal battle with God or a higher power that we emotionally wrestle with, and we find difficulty and frustration in coming to terms with it. There’s an irony in that if God loves us so much, why do we end up suffering in this life and suddenly lose all the ones we truly love?”
Formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 2021, Sicksense brings together a roster of seasoned metal musicians. Frontwoman Vicky Psarakis, formerly of The Agonist, anchors the vocal line, while drummer‑guitarist Robby J. Fonts of Stuck Mojo handles percussion and rhythm. Guitarist Jackson Snowden, bassist Richard Regier, and drummer Sam Neumann complete the lineup, creating a sound that reflects the collective experience of alumni from Stuck Mojo, The Agonist, and other hard‑edge acts.
The EP Funerals will launch on September 25, 2026, and will feature “A Moment Of Violence” alongside a handful of other tracks that expand on the themes of mortality and faith. While the full track list has not yet been disclosed, the title and the single’s subject matter suggest a cohesive narrative that examines grief from multiple angles.
Sicksense’s momentum will carry into the live arena with the ‘Guilty Pleasures Tour,’ where the band will share the stage with Eyes Set To Kill and Twist It. The tour will traverse the United States, kicking off on December 3 in Lubbock, Texas, and wrapping up on December 19 in Phoenix, Arizona.
