Dreamwell Announces August 28 Release of Hymns For The Denial Of God Through Prosthetic Records
Dreamwell will release its new album, Hymns For The Denial Of God, on August 28 2026 through Prosthetic Records. The Rhode Island post‑skramz quartet has made the album available for pre‑order on the label’s website.
The band’s latest effort marks a shift toward a darker examination of organized religion. Lead vocalist Keziah "KZ" Staska explained that the title reflects a broader critique of how religious institutions can be used to justify violence and hatred. Staska said the record is not a purely atheistic statement, but rather a rejection of a God invoked to validate evil.
Production took place at Silver Bullet Studios in Burlington, Connecticut, with Chris Teti handling the recording and mixing. Silver Bullet Studios, founded in 2004 by Greg Thomas and his father James Thomas, has worked with a range of heavy‑music acts. Teti’s involvement follows the studio’s history of supporting aggressive genres.
The album’s first single, “Plath Vs. Kafka Vs. Romance,” was released in late June and is accompanied by a music video directed by Anthony Altamura. Altamura, formerly the bassist and vocalist for Stray From The Path, has built a career as a filmmaker and has directed videos for several metal and punk acts.
Hymns For The Denial Of God contains ten tracks: 1. Hypercrucifixation 2. Sissy Hate Machine 3. Anti‑Christ's Testimony 4. A Crisis Of Realization 5. Apostates & Gentiles 6. Plath Vs. Kafka Vs. Romance 7. I Dreamt I Survived An Extinction Event 8. Carrion Birds On The Ark 9. Your Ichthys Decal Won't Get You Into Heaven Anymore 10. Cherub Rock Of Gibraltar
The album’s release follows Prosthetic Records’ acquisition by MNRK Music Group in June 2025. Prosthetic, founded in 1998, has a long history of issuing heavy‑metal releases, including early works by Lamb of God and Gojira.
Pre‑orders for the album are currently open, and the band’s official channels have promoted the release date and single. No tour dates have been announced, and the label has not yet disclosed distribution plans beyond the standard digital and physical formats.
With the August release, Dreamwell adds a third studio effort to its catalog, continuing its evolution from the post‑skramz sound that characterized earlier releases. The band’s focus on religious critique and the return to a heavier, mosh‑friendly style signal a deliberate artistic direction that aligns with the themes outlined by Staska.
As of now, Hymns For The Denial Of God is scheduled for worldwide availability on August 28 2026, with pre‑orders and streaming options set to launch concurrently. The album’s release is the next step in Dreamwell’s ongoing engagement with the heavy‑music community.
