SB19 Secures Global Representation with United Talent Agency Music

SB19, the Philippine pop boy band that debuted in 2018, has signed a global representation deal with United Talent Agency (UTA) Music, according to a statement released by the agency on June 22 2026. The partnership will cover all aspects of the group’s international career, including live touring, brand partnerships, and other business opportunities.

UTA, founded in 1991 and headquartered in Beverly Hills, represents a diverse roster of musicians such as Bad Bunny, Christina Aguilera and Cardi B. The agency’s announcement notes that SB19 has become one of Southeast Asia’s most influential acts, amassing over one billion career streams and cultivating a dedicated global fanbase known as “A’TIN.” The group’s self‑managed label, 1Z Entertainment, has overseen the release of their EP trilogy and the March 27 2026 studio album Wakas at Simula, which topped local charts and earned international recognition.

Under the new UTA agreement, SB19 will join the official soundtrack of the upcoming film Forgotten Island, contributing a rendition of “Mga Kababayan,” originally performed by the late Francis Magalona. The inclusion of the track is part of the film’s effort to showcase Filipino music to a worldwide audience.

The deal also coincides with a series of high‑profile live appearances. In July, SB19 will perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago, becoming the first Filipino group to play the festival’s main stage. The band’s performance is scheduled for the festival’s opening day, and it marks a historic moment for Philippine pop on a major U.S. platform. Following that, the group will head to Japan for the Osaka leg of Summer Sonic in August, where they will share the stage with international acts at Expo ‘70 Commemorative Park.

SB19’s recent releases, the singles “Visa” and “Toyfriend,” have continued to build on the group’s momentum. Both tracks have charted on regional streaming services and have been featured in playlists that highlight emerging Southeast Asian artists. The band’s ability to produce and perform their own music—often blending hip‑hop, pop, and R&B elements—has earned them the nickname “Kings of P‑pop” and has positioned them as a benchmark for Filipino pop (Pinoy pop) worldwide.

The group’s impact extends beyond music. In 2025, SB19 became the first Filipino act to hold and sell out two nights at the Philippine Arena during the Simula at Wakas world tour. The tour included stops across North America, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania, and the group’s presence in major markets such as Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C. has been documented by industry trade publications.

SB19’s achievements also include being the first Southeast Asian act nominated for a Billboard Music Award and the first to appear in the top 10 of the Billboard Social 50. Their success has been recognized with multiple local and international awards, and their self‑production and live vocal performances have been cited by critics as a key factor in their global appeal.

UTA’s representation is expected to expand SB19’s reach through strategic touring schedules, brand collaborations, and media opportunities. The agency’s global network and experience with high‑profile artists position it to negotiate deals that align with the group’s artistic vision and commercial objectives.

As of now, SB19’s next major public engagement is the April 18 2026 concert titled Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Finale at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque, a venue that has hosted large-scale events for the group. The concert will serve as a prelude to the upcoming UTA‑backed international tour and the band’s continued participation in global festivals.

The partnership marks a significant milestone for Philippine pop, illustrating the growing international demand for Southeast Asian music and the strategic importance of global talent agencies in facilitating cross‑border exposure for regional artists.
