HMLTD Announces New Album FANGS, Lineup Change and UK Tour
London’s art‑punk outfit HMLTD has fired up the scene again, unveiling their third studio album, FANGS, slated for 23 October 2026 through Lucky Number. The announcement also marks a fresh chapter for the band, with guitarist Theo Spark and bassist Andrei Martynchyk joining frontman Henry Spychalski and guitarist Duc Peterman.
The news follows the release of the single “I Used To Ride In Limousines” earlier this month. The track, now streaming across all major platforms, is paired with a music video directed by Spychalski himself. In the accompanying statement, HMLTD reflected on the song’s themes: “One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star. This is a song about failure and success. It’s about making peace with failure, finding liberation in the sovereign, non‑productive waste of failure, and about rejecting all instrumentalist notions of ‘success’ that subjugate life and the human experience itself to ‘success’ as an end goal. It’s about rejecting the ego, and it’s about rediscovering and redefining a sense of self‑worth that is entirely one’s own.”

Alongside the album’s launch, the band has announced a concise UK tour. The headline show will take place at Village Underground in London on 4 March 2027, followed by a string of dates across the country. HMLTD will also appear at the Sŵn Festival in Cardiff during its Autumn edition, which runs across multiple venues from 15 to 17 October 2026.
The lineup shift represents a pivotal moment for HMLTD. Since their 2015 debut, the core has consisted of Spychalski, Peterman, bassist Nico Mohnblatt, drummer Achilleas Sarantaris, and keyboardist Seth Evans. Adding Spark and Martynchyk signals a “wipe‑the‑slate” approach, according to the band, aimed at launching a fresh creative era.
The group’s catalog includes West of Eden (2020) and The Worm (2023), both released through Lucky Number. The Worm was a concept record that imagined a worm swallowing England, while West of Eden cemented HMLTD’s reputation for blending punk energy with theatrical flair.
The tour will give audiences a chance to experience the new material live. Official communications say the setlist will mix tracks from FANGS with fan‑favorites from earlier releases. The Village Underground performance is scheduled to headline the evening, with tickets on sale via the venue’s website.
HMLTD’s Sŵn Festival slot will be part of the festival’s 19th edition, a key platform for emerging and established acts across Wales. The band will share the stage with a mix of local and international artists in several headline slots.
Once released, FANGS will be available on Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming services, as well as on vinyl and CD through Lucky Number’s distribution channels.
With the album and tour, HMLTD is poised to re‑establish its presence in the UK music scene after a period of lineup changes and studio focus. The next steps involve promoting the new album across media outlets and delivering the upcoming tour dates announced for 2027.
