Omega Auctions to Sell Over 300 Rare Music Memorabilia Pieces from Lindsay Browns Five-Decade Archive

Omega Auctions will open the doors to a vault of music history on September 15, 2026, in Merseyside. The auction will feature more than 300 items from the personal archive of Lindsay Brown, a veteran who spent five decades working with some of the industry’s most iconic acts.

Brown’s collection is a time capsule that spans the careers of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Kate Bush, Nick Drake, Black Sabbath, the New York Dolls, Queen, and many others. The lot includes posters, flyers, autographs, a signed Fender Telecaster, and a historic concert poster from 1970. Scheduled to begin at 10:00 BST, the sale is expected to draw collectors from around the world.

Brown’s journey began in 1969 as a social secretary at Ewell Technical College, where he booked shows for Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Caravan, Taste, Genesis, Nick Drake, and Atomic Rooster. He later held senior roles at Red Bus, MAM, Rock Exchange, Polydor, and Eagle Rock Entertainment, securing the visual rights for The Rolling Stones. During that tenure he worked with the New York Dolls, The Sweet, Elvis Costello, Barclay James Harvest, Dr Feelgood, 10cc, The Only Ones, The Cure, Van Morrison, Björk, Alice Cooper, and Jeff Beck.

"My collection reflects a lifetime in the music industry and a lifelong passion for music," Brown said in a statement quoted by Metal Talk. "I’ve worked with incredible artists and witnessed some extraordinary moments in music history. Most of these items represent personal memories as much as collectible artefacts."

Key items on the lot include:

- A poster from the January 24, 1970 show featuring Atomic Rooster, Genesis and Nick Drake at Ewell Technical College. The poster is expected to fetch over £5,000. - A red‑and‑gold David Arnott poster showing Black Sabbath opening for Caravan, with an estimated value above £1,000. - A large black‑and‑gold print advertising the New York Dolls’ first UK gig at London’s Big Biba Rainbow Room in November 1973, valued above £1,000. - An autograph book containing authenticated Beatles signatures, backed by Bonhams paperwork, with a projected price of more than £3,000. - A Fender Telecaster signed by Keith Richards, expected to bring in over £1,000. - A poster for Nick Drake’s final public show at Ewell Technical College on June 25, 1970, priced above £2,000. - Queen memorabilia from the Hyde Park concert on September 18, 1976 – including autographs and a framed flyer – pegged at over £3,000.

Omega Auctions, which specialises in music memorabilia and vinyl records, has released the catalogue for the sale. An auction preview will be held on September 14, 2026, allowing prospective bidders to view the items in person.

The auction reflects a broader trend of high‑profile music memorabilia sales that appeal to collectors and historians alike. Brown’s collection offers a unique window into the evolution of rock and pop from the late 1960s through the 1970s, and the items are expected to command significant prices.

The sale will take place at Omega Auctions’ Newton‑Le‑Willows venue in Merseyside. Bidders can register online or attend the preview to view the catalogue and place bids.

The auction will run until the final item is sold, with proceeds going to the auction house. Brown’s archive will be dispersed in a single event, marking the end of a career that bridged live performance, record production and visual rights management.

The auction is scheduled for September 15, 2026, and the catalogue is available for preview on September 14. Interested parties should consult the Omega Auctions website for registration and bidding details.
