Museum of Christian & Gospel Music Launches Interactive Website, Expands Visitor Experience in Nashville
Nashville’s newest cultural landmark just got a digital facelift. The Museum of Christian & Gospel Music (CGM) opened its doors in October 2025 and now offers a fully redesigned interactive website at https://cgmmuseum.org/. The new portal streamlines planning visits, showcases current exhibits, and promotes live events, while also introducing the Backstage Pass Newsletter—a subscription service that delivers updates on upcoming performances and museum news.
CGM quickly became a hub for both historical displays and intimate concerts. Its permanent collection features the Mike Curb Presents the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame, a partnership that honors artists who have shaped Christian and gospel music. The museum also serves as an official stop on the U.S. Civil Rights Trail through its “Soundtrack to the Movement” exhibit, which explores gospel music’s role in the 1960s civil‑rights era. The website spotlights these key attractions and offers a 24‑page visitor guide that details the people, places, and stories that influenced the movement in Nashville and beyond.
Visitors can browse rotating special exhibits, purchase tickets, and subscribe to the newsletter directly from the site. The portal lists upcoming performances, including a pop‑up exhibit for six‑time Grammy winner Amy Grant that featured rare artifacts and a special episode of the Got It From My Mamma podcast recorded on site. Other recent collaborations include a pop‑up exhibit with The Kingdom tied to CMA Fest and an influencer event hosted by MercyMe that previewed the film I Can Only Imagine 2.
CGM’s Stories & Songs series continues to draw sold‑out audiences. Recent shows featured Buddy Greene, Jeff Taylor, and The Lubben Brothers, followed by a standing‑room‑only night with songwriter Joel Lindsey. Last week, Justin Gambino + Friends celebrated Gambino’s new album with a concert. These intimate events are a core part of CGM’s mission to bring artists, fans, and history together.
Ticket sales for upcoming shows are now available through the new website. Scheduled events include an exclusive album‑release event with Stryper on August 26, Jason Crabb’s album‑release show on August 27, and a Punk Praise Night featuring Grace Graber & Friends on September 3.
In addition to exhibits and concerts, CGM offers the Catinas Arts Café, a venue that serves specialty coffee and refreshments. The café is open before and after exhibits and hosts emerging artists on Thursdays and Saturdays.
The museum’s location at 402 Commerce Street places it in downtown Nashville, a city known for its music heritage. CGM’s blend of artifacts, live performances, and storytelling provides a unique experience that differs from traditional museums.
The redesigned website is part of CGM’s broader strategy to engage visitors online and in person. By offering easy access to event schedules, ticketing, and educational resources, the museum aims to broaden its reach to music lovers worldwide.
