Clapham DJ Caroline Hesford Launches New Podcast Whats On Your Rider? Focused on Londons Music Scene

When a club‑scene vet turns a technical checklist into a conversation, London’s music insiders get a new listening room. On Tuesday, Caroline Hesford—known on air as Cazzyette—released the first episode of her new podcast, What’s On Your Rider?, and made it available on YouTube, Spotify and iTunes.

Hesford’s idea is simple but fresh: the rider, the list of technical and hospitality requests that performers hand to venues before a show, is a window into a DJ’s or artist’s personality. Each episode opens with a quick look at a rider, then uses the details as a springboard for a deeper chat about the realities of performing in a city that never stops spinning.

The inaugural guest is Connor Dawson, who goes by Onncor on the club circuit. Dawson shares the surprising arc that took him from a construction career to full‑time DJing, and he explains how the items on his rider evolved as his gigs grew.

This podcast is the latest chapter in a long line of broadcasting work by Hesford. She currently hosts Cazzyette Sunrise, the Thursday breakfast show on Select Radio, a station that began as a pirate operation in 2003 and was granted a community licence in 2020. Earlier in her career, she presented breakfast shows on Vibe Radio in Watford, Riverside Radio and Brixton Radio, and produced the BBC Essex Introducing Show. Her DJ résumé includes sets at Ministry of Sound and appearances at brand events and major sporting venues.

The production of What’s On Your Rider? was handled by Nuria Riba Rossy, a videographer and producer who has worked on a variety of music‑related projects. Rossy filmed the first episode and edited the final product for distribution across the three major streaming platforms. The format is interview‑heavy, with each episode featuring a different guest from London’s music ecosystem.

By framing conversations around the practicalities of touring and live performance, Hesford offers listeners an inside look at the day‑to‑day realities that shape careers.
