Lila Drew Releases New Single "Same Old Song" and Joins Paris Jacksons Sacramento Show

Lila Drew has issued a new single titled "Same Old Song" on May 13, 2026. The track was released through Capitol Records and is accompanied by an official music video directed by Stefan Kohli. The single is the first of several songs Drew is recording with producer and frequent collaborator Sachi DiSerafino, who has worked with artists such as Lorde and Dijon.

"Same Old Song" was written and produced by Drew and DiSerafino. Recording took place over the last eighteen months in studios located in New York City and upstate New York. The song explores themes of heartbreak, regret and vulnerability, with Drew reflecting on the desire to return to a previous state of emotional honesty.

The release follows Drew’s debut album, All The Places I Could Be, which came out in 2022 under AWAL Recordings. She has been writing music since she was eleven and is managed by Three Six Zero, a company co‑founded by Mark Gillespie. The new single signals the start of a forthcoming album that will feature DiSerafino’s production style.

In addition to the single, Drew will appear as a supporting act for Paris Jackson’s upcoming tour. She is scheduled to perform at The Starlet Room at Harlow’s in Sacramento, California, on August 4. Jackson, the daughter of Michael Jackson, signed with Republic Records in 2020 and released her debut album Wilted that same year.

DiSerafino, a former member of the Philadelphia‑based indie rock band Joy Again, has a background in crafting sonic textures that complement lyrical storytelling. Joy Again, formed in 2014, has worked with artists such as Snail Mail and has been signed to Arista Records. DiSerafino’s experience with high‑profile acts informs the production on Drew’s new track.

The music video for "Same Old Song" was shot in a minimalist setting that emphasizes Drew’s vocal performance. Stefan Kohli, known for his work with emerging indie artists, brings a visual style that matches the song’s introspective tone.

The single has been made available on major streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music. It is also distributed through Virgin Music Group, which handles the digital release.

Industry observers note that the collaboration between Drew and DiSerafino may broaden her reach beyond the indie‑pop niche. The partnership aligns with Capitol Records’ strategy of pairing emerging singer‑songwriters with established producers to create crossover appeal.

The Sacramento performance with Paris Jackson provides Drew with exposure to a larger live‑music audience. Jackson’s tour, which includes intimate venues across North America, offers Drew a platform to showcase her new material to fans who appreciate emotionally driven songwriting.

As of now, no official release date has been announced for Drew’s upcoming album. The single serves as a preview of the musical direction she is pursuing with DiSerafino.

The release of "Same Old Song" and Drew’s appearance on the Sacramento date are the latest developments in her growing catalog of original music. Both events underscore her continued presence in the contemporary singer‑songwriter scene.

The current status is that the single is streaming worldwide, the music video is available on YouTube, and Drew’s next public engagement is the August 4 show with Paris Jackson. No further dates or releases have been confirmed beyond these.
