KATSEYE Navigates Breakthrough, Hiatus, and Global Tour Amid Rapid Rise

KATSEYE, the six‑member girl group that emerged from Hybe and Geffen’s 2023 Dream Academy competition, has turned 2024‑26 into a whirlwind of chart climbs, award nods and worldwide touring.

The group’s first taste of public attention came with the June 2024 single “Debut,” a concise showcase of the members’ vocal range and stage presence. Two weeks later, the follow‑up track “Touch” exploded on streaming platforms, landing in the top ten of the Spotify Global Viral 50. In 2025, the duo of singles set the stage for the EP Beautiful Chaos, which debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and spawned the single “Gabriela.” The track broke into the top‑40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, while the group as a whole received a nomination for Best New Artist at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

Festival circuits took notice, too. At Lollapalooza Chicago in the summer of 2025, KATSEYE became the first K‑pop act to appear on the festival’s main stage, a milestone that cemented their status as a crossover act. On February 20, 2026, management announced that lead vocalist Manon Bannerman would take an indefinite hiatus to focus on her health. The group will continue to perform as a five‑member unit.

Looking ahead, KATSEYE is preparing to drop its third EP, Wild, in August 2026.
