Frontiers Label Group Names Timo Hoffmann Head of A&R in Germany

Frontiers Label Group has tapped a seasoned veteran to steer its German operations, announcing on 23 July 2026 that Timo Hoffmann will serve as Head of A&R for the country. Hoffmann, who has spent more than twenty years navigating the music business, brings a wealth of experience from roles in journalism, public relations, catalogue management, marketing and product management at labels such as AFM Records and Atomic Fire Records / Reigning Phoenix Music.

At AFM Records, Hoffmann helped shape the label’s artistic direction and built a roster that includes heavy‑metal and hard‑rock acts like Doro, U.D.O., Danzig, Thundermother, Orden Ogan and D‑A‑D. His work at Atomic Fire Records further sharpened his eye for talent that can thrive in niche markets. Those two decades of hands‑on experience have made him a trusted name in the European rock and metal scene.

In his new role, Hoffmann will focus on expanding Frontiers’ presence in Germany and strengthening relationships with both established and emerging artists across the label’s diverse roster. “Frontiers is more than just an innovative label – it’s a place where music truly lives,” he said. “The company’s expansion into the Frontiers Label Group further broadens its spectrum of musical genres and brings with it amazing new opportunities, which I’m excited to help explore.”

Serafino Perugino, President and Founder of Frontiers Label Group, welcomed the appointment. He noted that Germany remains a key market for the genres Frontiers represents. “His deep knowledge of the international rock and metal landscape, combined with his proven track record in identifying and developing talent, makes him the perfect choice to lead our A&R activities in Germany,” Perugino said.

Founded in 1996 by Perugino and headquartered in Naples, Frontiers has built a reputation for promoting melodic rock and heavier styles. The label’s roster features legendary acts and up‑and‑coming artists, and it has grown to include several sub‑imprints that cater to niche audiences. Hoffmann added, “Frontiers has not only become synonymous with the entire genre of melodic rock but has also successfully branched out into heavier styles over the years. Their roster, consisting of legendary bands as well as great new and upcoming acts, is brimming with quality. I have followed their evolution for a long time, always with great respect for the label’s forward‑thinking approach, vision, and consistency. Being invited to join this passionate team feels fantastic, and I want to thank Serafino for his trust and vision.”

The appointment signals Frontiers’ intent to deepen its engagement with the German market, a region that has historically supported a vibrant rock and metal scene. Hoffmann’s experience with artists across the spectrum positions him to identify emerging talent and nurture established acts, potentially leading to new releases, touring partnerships and cross‑promotional opportunities.

Frontiers’ expansion into Germany aligns with broader industry trends that emphasize localized A&R leadership to better navigate regional markets. By appointing a seasoned professional with a proven track record in artist development, the label aims to strengthen its competitive position and continue delivering high‑quality releases to fans worldwide.

As of now, no specific projects or signing announcements have been released under Hoffmann’s leadership. However, industry observers anticipate that his influence will soon translate into new collaborations and releases that reflect Frontiers’ commitment to both legacy acts and fresh talent.

The appointment underscores the label’s ongoing strategy to broaden its genre portfolio while maintaining a strong focus on artist development and market expansion.
