Stellar Blade Soundtrack to Hit Vinyl in Exclusive Editions

SHIFT UP, the South Korean studio behind the 2024 action‑adventure game Stellar Blade, and Laced Records have announced a vinyl release of the game’s original soundtrack. Pre‑orders are now live for two formats: a 4‑LP box set containing all 44 tracks and a double‑LP edition with 22 tracks. The exclusive editions feature coloured vinyl—"Smokin’ Combo" discs for the box set and "Stellar Blue" marble discs for the double‑LP—while standard black versions are available from Laced and other retail partners.

The vinyl packages include liner notes written by the game’s Sound Director, Jooeun Hwang. The notes provide background on key tracks and describe the collaboration between the various music teams that contributed to the score. Sleeve artwork is supplied by SHIFT UP; the box set’s inner sleeves depict characters Eve, Lily Artemis II, Tachy, and Raven, and the slipcase showcases a sci‑fi character parade. The double‑LP sleeve focuses on protagonist Eve, with inner sleeves featuring Eve and Raven.

The tracklist was curated to follow Eve’s journey through the game, and it highlights fan‑favourites such as "Flooded Commercial Sector," "Everglow," and "Raven." All tracks have been remastered specifically for vinyl playback. The soundtrack blends vocal‑led electronic, K‑Pop, rock, metal, improvisational jazz, and acoustic styles, reflecting the diverse musical vision of Sound Director Hwang and Game Director Hyungtae Kim.

"For the music of Stellar Blade, our priority was to preserve and highlight the unique identity of each individual composer and artist, while ensuring that those individual voices were ultimately used to express Stellar Blade itself," Hwang said in the liner notes. The release follows the game’s commercial success—over three million copies sold since its April 26, 2024 launch on PlayStation 5—and its recognition at industry awards, including nominations for Best Action Game and Best Score and Music at The Game Awards 2024 and a sweep of seven categories at the Korean Game Awards 2024.

Laced Records will ship the vinyl sets in the coming weeks, with the 4‑LP box set priced at $98 and the double‑LP at $42, according to the retailer’s website. Exclusive editions are limited to the Laced store, while standard black versions can be purchased through Laced and other partners.

The vinyl release represents a growing trend of game soundtracks moving into physical formats, offering collectors and fans a tangible connection to the music that accompanies their gaming experience. It also underscores the continued partnership between SHIFT UP and Laced Records, who have collaborated on other music projects in the past.

At present, pre‑orders remain open and the release schedule is set for the first quarter of 2025. Fans can secure their copies through the Laced Records website or authorized retailers.
