Singapores Rave Harps Academy to Host Asia Harp Fiesta 2026, Celebrating a Decade of Harp Education
On 20 and 21 June 2026, Singapore will become the beating heart of the harp world as Rave Harps Academy Pte. Ltd. stages the Asia Harp Fiesta 2026. The two‑day festival will bring together harpists, students, educators and music lovers from Singapore, Malaysia and the wider region for a showcase of performance, learning and collaboration.
Founded over a decade ago by concert harpist and educator Katryna Tan, Rave Harps has evolved from a local training program into a regional hub for harp excellence. Tan, who will open the festival with a solo concert and unveil a new edition of her signature production, said the event “represents not only a celebration of the harp but also the friendships, collaborations and shared passion that have helped our community grow over the past decade.”
The festival’s agenda is designed to weave together concerts, masterclasses, workshops and networking sessions that spotlight the harp’s expanding role in contemporary music. Participants will engage in peer‑to‑peer dialogue, attend specialist workshops on new repertoire, and explore emerging trends in harp performance and pedagogy. The programme underscores the Academy’s commitment to fostering a vibrant, interconnected harp ecosystem across Asia.
A highlight of the two‑day event will be the world‑premiere of PLUCK & PIZZ, a family‑friendly musical that follows a harp fairy and a violinist on an adventure about harmony, courage and friendship. The production builds on the success of PLUCK – The Harp Musical, described by critics as the world’s only large‑scale harp musical. PLUCK & PIZZ will be available to ticket holders as part of the festival’s ticket package.
Rave Harps’ decade‑long impact is evident in its alumni’s achievements. Graduates have earned places at internationally recognised institutions such as Juilliard, Berklee College of Music and the Royal College of Music. The Academy has also cultivated a thriving community of adult harpists through ensemble projects and community performances. Under Tan’s leadership, the Academy’s influence has spread beyond Singapore, inspiring similar initiatives in the region, including the Penang Rave Harpers.
The opening concert will feature Tan’s solo performance, followed by a showcase of the new production. Tickets for the event, including PLUCK & PIZZ, are available through the festival programme. Rave Harps Academy has positioned itself as Singapore’s premier harp ensemble, offering performance opportunities that allow musicians to grow artistically while sharing their passion with wider audiences.
As the festival approaches, Rave Harps Academy remains focused on creating opportunities that connect students, performers and audiences through meaningful musical experiences. The organisation aims to continue strengthening the harp ecosystem in Singapore while fostering greater regional collaboration across Asia.
The Asia Harp Fiesta 2026 will run over two days in Singapore, offering a platform for harpists to showcase their talent, learn from peers and contribute to the growth of the harp community in the region. The event underscores Rave Harps Academy’s commitment to education, performance and community development within the global music industry.
