Left to Suffer Debuts New Single Gun in the Duffle Bag on Hopeless Records and Joins Dying Fetus Tour

Atlanta’s deathcore outfit Left to Suffer has unleashed its first single under Hopeless Records, “Gun in the Duffle Bag,” and secured a spot on the label’s flagship fall tour with Dying Fetus.

The track drops on June 10, 2026, and immediately throws listeners into the band’s trademark maelstrom of ferocious breakdowns, blister‑fast double‑bass lines and guttural screams. Vocalist Taylor Barber says the song “is about when your anger has boiled over and you’ve lost all sense of control on your emotions. So you’re violently romanticizing the downfall for your enemies in your head.” Guitarist Peter Higgs adds that the single is “one of the more brutally honest songs we’ve put out when it comes to anger, regret and survival instinct happening all at the same time.” The release marks the first official output from Left to Suffer since inking a deal with Hopeless in early 2026.

Hopeless Records, founded in 2007 and based in Van Nuys, California, has long championed hardcore, punk and metalcore acts, with a roster that includes The Wonder Years, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Senses Fail. The label’s latest additions—Zurich’s Comastatic and Australian rockers Hands Like Houses—highlight its ongoing focus on metal‑centric talent.

Left to Suffer formed in 2019 in Atlanta. Their debut album, A Year of Suffering (2020), introduced a raw, relentless sound that evolved into the more polished aggression of Feral (2023). The most recent studio effort, Leap of Death (2024), cemented the band’s reputation for tight musicianship and an unyielding touring schedule. The current lineup—Barber (vocals), Michael Guglielmi (bass), Peter Higgs and Jacob Gordon (guitar), and Zach Allard (drums)—has earned praise for its cohesion and stamina.

“Gun in the Duffle Bag” streams on all major platforms and is also available through the Hopeless Records website. The single’s production showcases the label’s polished aesthetic while preserving the raw edge fans expect.

In addition to the new single, Left to Suffer will join Dying Fetus on the “Into the Cesspool” North American tour that runs from September 17 to October 24, 2026. Co‑headlined by Dying Fetus and Sanguisugabogg, the tour will cover 30 cities across the United States and Canada. Left to Suffer is listed as a support act and will perform at venues such as Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia, Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, and the Franklin Music Hall in Baltimore. Ticket sales are handled through the tour’s official website.

Dying Fetus, formed in 1991, is a veteran death‑metal band known for its technical precision and politically charged lyrics. Pairing the band with rising metalcore acts like Left to Suffer follows a proven formula that benefits both touring groups.

The collaboration between Hopeless Records and Inertia Entertainment, the tour’s organizer, underscores the label’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the metalcore and death‑metal scenes. For Left to Suffer, the tour offers a platform to reach new audiences and promote the single ahead of a potential full‑length release later in 2026.

No further details have been released regarding a full‑album announcement from Left to Suffer. The band’s social media accounts and the Hopeless Records website continue to post updates on the single’s performance and tour appearances.

With the release of “Gun in the Duffle Bag” and its inclusion on a high‑profile tour, Left to Suffer solidifies its position in the contemporary deathcore and metalcore landscape, while highlighting Hopeless Records’ dedication to nurturing aggressive music talent.
